Serving LGBTQ+ People
At Wellness Resource Center in Boca Raton, Florida, we recognize that when LGBTQ+ people are struggling with addictions and co-occurring mental health concerns, they need a safe space where they can heal. Our team of certified addiction professionals, therapists, counselors, social workers, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, nutritionists, and behavioral health technicians is sensitive to the needs of LGBTQ+ people and how important it is to give them an all-inclusive treatment experience.
Programming at our Boca Raton addiction treatment center is tailored for adults age 18 and older of all genders. In addition to helping people who have addictions to drugs and alcohol, our team can provide care for individuals who are suffering from co-occurring mental health concerns like anxiety and depression. For members of the LGBTQ+ community, our team is also able to provide support as they confront the unique circumstances they are navigating in their lives each day. If it’s beneficial, we can offer help and encouragement as clients address things like gender identity and coming out to their family and friends.
We take into account the preferences of LGBTQ+ clients in regard to housing, programming, and any other specific needs they may have. We provide a weekly therapeutic group for members of the LGBTQ+ community, and clients have the option of attending 12-Step meetings specifically for LGBTQ+ people every week. Prior to a client’s admission to our program, we discuss their specific needs and requests to provide the best possible treatment experience for them.
Comprehensive Treatment
At our Florida addiction treatment center, we offer a unique phased approach to care.
During Phase I, clients participate in our partial hospitalization program (PHP), which offers on-site community housing where they can live in comfortably furnished apartments. This phase of treatment can range from 28-120 days, depending on the client’s needs.
In Phase II of our Step-Down Program, clients move into our intensive outpatient program (IOP), offering them a full continuum of care without needing to transition to another treatment center. The time clients spend in Phase II at our Boca Raton facility is typically between 30 and 60 days.
Once a client has completed Phase II, they can enter our transitional housing, or we can provide referrals to reputable sober living houses in the area.
In all levels of care, our team uses best-practice treatment modalities and offers an array of clinical services. Clients have access to individual, group, and family therapies, as well as medication management services, nutrition services, and targeted case management. All clients can work one-on-one with their case manager to ensure that their needs are being met throughout the course of their treatment process.
